Nidhogg: To The Victor...

A fun tribute to a fun game. Always wanted to experiment with the animation feature in Clip Studio Paint, figured this was a good place to start. The simplistic Atari style graphics of Nidhogg made it easier to render the figures. I can definitely see myself doing more simple animations like this in the future.

Shadows Over Camelot: Heroes and Henchmen

  Finished painting these a few months ago but am just now getting around to posting the pictures. These are the rest of the miniatures from Shadows Over Camelot, an Arthurian themed cooperative board game from Days Of Wonder. The color design was made to look like the artwork from the game, nothing creative on my part.

Boozy Smooches

I came home after a night of imbibing copious amounts of bourbon. Ruth's only response to me stumbling into the bedroom to let her know I was home and to give her smooches was "you smell like one of my library patrons."

She requested I draw this to illustrate her disgust of my boozy smooches. I don't get this drunk often...but when I do I am either a machine of rage and destruction or on this occasion a sweet, ginger bearded buffoon.

What a patient and tolerant person I have married.

We Are The Crystal Gems

These doodles are the result of binge watching Steven Universe and discussing with some close friends about what each married couple would look like fused.

Ruth and I agreed on our fusion looking like Ruth but we would have my beard except with a silver streak down the middle. Our power is similar to a bag of holding from D&D in the form of a fanny pack.

Our married friends agreed on wearing a fashionable black jumper (I added the shoulders) gold tipped sandals, and lots of rings and jewelry. Their weapon of choice is a spiked camera(holga) flail

There's A Greg In My Pocket

All Bobby wants is to have a borrowers sized version of his friend Greg to carry around in his pocket. Pocket Greg mostly just asks for food advice but occasionally gives inspirational quotes such as: "Gossip is my chief export!" and "My cat is not fat!". He comes with a sock cap, sundae, totally not fat cat Weezy and a backpack to store said items.

What Ruth imagines life will be like for her while in Japan the next two years. Biking in Hokkaido, all of its cutest critters tagging along for an adventure.

Shadows Over Camelot: Catapults

Brother asked me to paint his Shadows Over Camelot minis, finished these siege machines up while watching Daredevil season 2. Turned out darker than I had hoped, lots of washes but not nearly enough. Shouldn't have went with a black primer on these...overall happy with how they turned out. Rest of the minis are primed white so should get better results. More minis to post from SOC to come, stay tuned.
