Goodbye House

This illustration was inspired by Ruth's goodbye to our home on Morton Ave.

After two and a half years living on Morton, Ruth and are I moving. We have had some wonderful times living on Morton, many memories were made. Sadly, this building needs a lot of maintenance. Between the mold and moisture we felt we had no other option.

As of this Sunday the 15th we will be fully moved into our new home in the Camp Taylor neighborhood. It will be an adjustment living in a tinier home, but as long as their is bourbon and pizza Mondays we will be comfy and happy.

I am looking forward to this winter in our new home!

Duck Tales, Oo-oo

Played through the re-mastered version of Duck Tales originally on NES earlier this year. Definitely worth it if you loved the original game, are a fan of the old cartoon or just want to play a classic platformer. All of the cane hopping, money collecting, moon level goodness is intact, and the controls are as tight as ever.

In other news, I have nearly completed working on a drum set made entirely of paper and has turned out better than I could have hoped. Thanks to fellow HGC member Bobby for his advice and assistance on this project. I will post pictures once it is finished.

I Eat The Paste!? The One I Married.

Been a minute since I posted any new doodles, trust me when I say I have been busy as of late. Between going to school and working full time, I have little free time for myself. All of my extra energy and time this last year was spent on my recent marriage to my favorite person of whom is pictured here. Wedding was perfect, went off with out a hitch and I am thankful for everyone who helped make it so easy.

Now that it is over and things are back to normal I plan on drawing more. Possibly making some more ambitious pieces as I go further down the rabbit hole that is printmaking. I am enjoying the process thus far and look forward to my continuing efforts.

The first image is just a drawing of Ruth from my memory, she gets this glazed look on her face when she watches television. I did my best to capture this expression.
Also, to my knowledge she does not eat paste in real life, but sometimes I wonder...

The Owls Are Not What They Seem

Finally got around to playing through Fez over winter break. WOW, what a fantastic game. I really got sucked in and wanted to explore every corner of this wonderfully imagined world. The puzzles were clever and the use of the 2d/3d was mind bending and brilliantly used. A delightful, relaxing game experience with a soothing soundtrack. 5/5
